Service Options Using Resources in a Community Environment Waiver

A Caring Touch for Seniors® is a Georgia-approved, participating provider of at-home care services to adults eligible to receive the SOURCE waiver. This means persons who qualify for the SOURCE program may receive home care or skilled nursing care services at no cost to them.

Who is Eligible for Georgia SOURCE?

To be considered eligible in Georgia, a person must be 65 years of age or older with a chronic medical condition, or under 65 years of age and disabled. Individuals eligible for enrollment in SOURCE must be fully covered by Medicaid and meet other eligibility requirements.

Examples of in-home care services include:

Personal Care
Meal Preparation
Light Housekeeping
Wound Care
Skilled Nursing Care
Respite Care
Medical Management
Care Coordination – With the client’s primary physician or medical provider

Common medical conditions include

Asthma or other pulmonary problems
Diabetes
Arthritis (rheumatoid and osteoporosis)
Stroke

High Blood Pressure
Amputations
Alzheimer’s Disease
Spinal Cord Injury
